How to make Wine run faster?

i followed the instruction of http://www.winehq.com/site/download-deb and then installed wine 0.9.3

but wine runs very slowly (much slowier than under FC or other Linux os)

i had even compiled the package of wine but it was still very slow :(

Please tell me how to make wine run faster if you have any idea:KS

Did you try the Ubuntu shipped version as well? How does the version you compiled yourself compare to that?

the version i compiled myself is also slow :(
