Mythbuntu Macbook

Hey guys. I have a Macbook that was sadly in a fire :(. The battery is completely fried and a lot of other stuff. It does work, however, but you have to keep it plugged in. I was thinking about using it as a MythTV backend. Does Mythbuntu work on it?

I was going to just get EyeTV and then get a 1TB external hard drive. Do you think this will be enough?
