I noticed (in the log) my firewall is rejecting SNMP traffic to my Ubuntu box. After some investigation it appears that this is SNMP replies to something my box is requesting. Anyone have an idea what part of Ubuntu would be doing SNMP queries? And should I open my firewall to allow this in?
