The MacBook install docs recommend that one use 'dmidecode' on the command line in Linux to determine the Mac model ID. But on Mac OS X, they recommend using System Profiler. For consistency, could they also show the command-line way to do things on OS X? That's 'sysctl hw.model'.

You can edit the wiki just as well as everyone else... I will add this.
