Has anyone heard anything about MPX being integrated into Ubuntu 9.04?

Based on the unimaginable amount of replies this thread has received, MPX does not look possible for release on Ubuntu 9.04. In that case, does a guide exist which explains how to get MPX working on Ubuntu 8.10?

Probably involves patching Xorg and compiling it. I'd recommend that you ask on the phoronix forums (http://www.phoronix.com/forums/)

Since your question is about 9.10, and specifically about it's (possible) new features, you would get a lot better answers in the Jaunty Jackalope Testing and Discussion-subforum: http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=352

I suggest that all that are interested in this make themselves heard on the bug report, stating their will to test MPX in jaunty if only someone can supply instructions on how to re-build X with MPX enabled.
And if anyone knows how to do this, or is willing to find out - then please share whatever you find! Thanks!

Ubuntu 9.04 alpha 5 has x.org server 1.6. Is that the version which has mpx? Or will we have to wait for x.org server 1.7 for mpx?

I don't understand why I would want to read the bug report. Is it a bug that MPX is not in ubuntu yet?

MPX isn't even in X yet, so forget about Ubuntu.

Apparently it is in x.org 1.7??? Or have I miss-read something? I think ubuntu 9.04 will have x.org 1.6 or something?

It is standard procedure to file a bug for software that we want available in Ubuntu. And as stated: All basic information is found there.
