View Full Version : Bastille Linux on Ubuntu

I haven't even connected the server in my basement to the big, bad 'Net yet, but I've been doing a lot of reading up on *nix servers & security; I'd heard about Bastille but wasn't sure it was available for Ubuntu... until I checked the wiki and found this brand-new, very useful page:

Just running the Bastille interactive program is a learning experience for an utter noob like me. It's great that it's available in Ubuntu/Debian, and that there's a good page in our wiki about it.

Looks interesting :)

I too have just set up a server, but since I am a beginner to Ubuntu I think I will hold off on the impregnable fortress approach and concentrate on getting the basics working ;)

My boxen are all behind a NAT router and run minimal services, I wonder how much of a risk they are at?
