Hello -

I installed (or thought I did) Ubuntu 8.04 in my Mac Pro, but after the installation completed and I was prompted to restart and remove the install CD, I selected to "Boot Linux from HD" in REFIT, then all I get is this message, "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and pres any key."

I tried following the below links as a guide (I tried both but I am only running OS X 10.5 and Ubuntu 8.04, not a 3rd Windows OS in the case of the post about running three OS's).

and

The only difference I used in my two attempts was right before completing the setup, on the first go-around I clicked on "advanced" and installed the boot loader to the correct partition drive; in the second attempt I left it at the default "hd (0,0)" which was set like that in the Ubuntu set-up.

Thanks much for any assistance.
