I've noticed that on some themes, I'm unable to change the colors in my theme because they are locked... What can I do? Sorry if I'm not making so much sense, I've been up for 30 hours straight. =/
Here's a picture to better clarify.

Not all themes have support for changing colors. Actually the ability to customize colors (without editing the theme's configuration files by hand) at all is a very new feature in Gnome.

The only thing you can do about it is to use some theme that supports this feature, or find a theme that looks nice as it is.

I have found that changing the theme to one that does support the color change immediately, and then switching to the desired theme sometimes changes the color if it doesnt work immediately. Might not work, but it does work sometimes.
