I'm trying to find out information about the free graphics driver that Ubuntu uses. Not the proprietary one.

But I don't even know it's name. Or what's the website address of it, or information about it like features, patches and so on, or what's planned.

Can anyone help?:p

There is VESA, but please tell us what graphics card or chip your PC uses?

VESA video driver will get you a display, but not very good and not high res.
