I have just got Veoh player working on Ubuntu 9.04 Beta 3. I had to do the following to get it to work.

1. Download Veohplayer.exe from Veoh web site

2. download Firefox for windows

3. Download Flashplayer 10 for windows

4. Go to WineHQ and repository for newest version of wine.

5. Use synaptic to install wine and dev, and the gecko part

6. Install Firesfox for windows with the wine installer

7. Install Flashplayer for windows with the wine installer

8. Install Veohplayer with the wine installer. They all installed with no errors at all.

I then started up veoh app and entered my account info and then declined to go to veoh.com on the splash screen. I pressed the x at the top of the slpash screen and then started firefox for windows and went to veoh .com.

Once i got to Veoh .com i entered my account info and picked a video and it started playing with no problems. I then clicked the button under the video player to download the video and it started the veoh downloader. And the video was downloaded with no problems.

I could preview my downloads in the downloader window just like in the version running under windows.

Thought i would post this in case anyone is interested .

This is not a bug! This is a video viewing app that did not work on any other versions of Ubuntu before, it now works. This is more fuctions to be added to ubuntu.
