I know this has probably been asked I don't know how many times, but I'm about to put KDE on my Ubuntu desktop. It looks amazing from what I've seen. I love it. So what do you like better?

OK...true...Gnome...KDE seems to be missing a lot last time I tried it (on OpenSUSE)

I tried both and preferred gnome. I guess KDE was too much like Windows.

I can't wait for the new Jaunty to be released with KDE4.2. Until Jaunty came out it was definitely Gnome, but the new 4.2 is awesome (and not a buggy as it was in the past).

KDE

Cleaner, better apps, more advanced, more configurability.

I used GNOME for two years before switching to KDE. Recently tried to go back, can't do it. Also, for the GNOME fans, trying compiling it. I refer to this process as "the aneurysm."

Lately I've been utterly repulsed by Gnome so I've switched over full time KDE. Of course AwesomeWM is much better than both of them though ;)

For me Gnome, KDE 4.2 is better then KDE 4.1 but it still feels unfinished.

KDE
everything feels so 'right'. Nothing is broken, everything works.
I am happier with KDE than I was with GNOME.

love kde 4.2. I really like where kde 4 is headed.

I prefer Gnome of the two, allthough I can't say I've give KDE much of a chance for a long time. A lot has probably changed since I used it.

Been using fluxbox for the past month. It might look and feel a bit more "boring" than a full DE, but it makes up for it in speed.

Been a Gnome user over the last year and switched over to KDE on a whim. Not going back.

I Like Gnome better than KDE, thoug I haven't used as much only in xandros.

I prefer Gnome + Compiz or Openbox.

But pure KDE >> pure Gnome

The main thing for me is window management, and Kwin is way better than Metacity in my experience.

I usually just use Openbox, because it's an awesome WM.

I don't care for either of them.

I use Openbox now and have used and enjoyed Fluxbox and Xfce in the past.

gnome, installed kubuntu at a friend (right when 4.2 was released) and the panels crashed and disappeared after a few minutes, after reboot they was clean, but they crashed after not long.

I installed ubuntu for him =P
My computer is not good enough for kubuntu...
