I've been having problems with an encrypted /home partition [see that thread for more details], but I wanted to ask more pointedly if any one has an alpha 3 iso that I might be able to download, to try and fix the problem.

anybody?

I appreciate the help, but that only led to Alpha 4 iso's. That release has problems with migrating encrypted /home stuff.

Perhaps you could try your Intrepid CD?

Thanks for all your suggestions, but none of them work.

dBuster, would you have a way of uploading it somewhere, if you do still have your cd at home?

If I have the cd at home yet I will see where I can upload to. I can not promise if I still have it or have given it away. Was it the 64 bit version or 32 bit?

Give me 2 hours to get home...

i have the jaunty daily from 20090125 which is a few days after alpha3. if you dont find a better offer i am sure i can get it to you.

if you are needing to test an old version of a package you may be able to get just that off launchpad.

I'm actually having issues with alpha 4 and it's /home encryption. Is there any way you could upload/send that iso to me? If you don't have a site to upload it to you could use www.sendthisfile.com I've had good success with that site and they have no file size limit (though they do throttle free accounts).

Thanks so much.

Just thought I should let you know, but I see you may have found a source for the iso. I do not have my disc and it was confirmed as a 64bit iso I had. Sorry..

I have all the ISO from the Alpha 3 (386 and AMD64, Desktop and Alternate). I could share them with the BT-Network if needed, but I would suggest to download the latest daily-build. They should fix a lot of problems.
