Hello,
I have a customer that wants to use Netzero as their isp. I haven't used dial up (or had a customer that wanted dial up) in about 10 years. They purchased a Zoom 3095 v.92 usb external modem.
Is it possible to get Netzero working with Ubuntu? I've seen a few older threads mentioning a netzero.deb but nothing recent.
Does anyone here have Netzero working on Ubuntu Hardy? If so is there a "How To" anywhere?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks for responding.
Not sure at this point. I haven't tried it. I'm scheduled to make a house call tomorrow to get his internet setup. Initially they were going to use their cable provider for high speed internet and I was going to come back when the cable company had everything up and running for them. Then I heard the other day that they decided to go with Netzero instead.
From what I understand the modem will work fine with Hardy provided I install the latest drivers from here:

Others have reported success with the Zoom modem so I assume that won't be a problem.

Solved...
I'm recommending that they use Copper.net for their dial up internet instead of Netzero. Apparently Copper.net charges the same monthly fee but doesn't require any special dialer software in order to work.
Copper.net tech support states that it works with any operating system including Linux without any special software.
Thanks anyway.
