I've installed Proftpd on Ubuntu. Have only managed to get the anonymous working for use by thrid parties.
I can log in with my own login (the one I used when setting up Ubuntu). This login-password is allowed. I created a new linux user and successfully logged in and out with SSH but no luck with FTP.
I'm sure it's something very simple in the proftpd.conf file but I'm scratching my head ... how can I enable a user to use FTP? (I know how to turn off SSH access for a user)
Thanks.
