View Full Version : [ubuntu] cant connect to the internet

I need help out here.. very urgent.. im a student and i want to install ubuntu on a few systems for my college project.. 50 odd systems are on a network and i have been given five.. all of em havexp and are connecting to the internet.. i installed intrepid on one of them and tried to connecto to the internet.. but that isnt sadly working :( can somebody please help me out here.. im a newbie

First you need to start by telling us what kind of wireless card you have. =P

Go into a terminal on the linux machine (applications->accessories->terminal) and type "lspci" and tell us the output.

That will let us know the wireless card. We can't help if we don't know what your hardware is!

Is it not connecting to wired internet or are we just talking wireless? Are these systems desktops or laptops?
