Hi. Using the guides posted and linked to here, I was able to get steam up and running, and HL2 runs too, but my problem is that when I click new game the windows disappears and I am left at the desktop, but I can still hear the in-game sounds. Does anyone know why this might be happening, or do I need to provide more information? Thank you.
