Configuring Apache Server

I have successfully install Apache web server.
Now, how do I configure the web server and
which folder shall I places my html or internet
files.

basic configuration should be done (unless you need to change some very specific things)...

put your .html files in /var/www/ and you're set. Drop an index.html in there & try (in your browser): localhost
