Running Kmousetool under Gnome (newbie)

I wish to run Ubuntu Gnome.
I would like to run Kmousetool with Gnome.
I saw a reference to someone who was doing this, but ran into a blind alley trying to chase it up.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Works well under Vista.
Still fuddling to get it working in Ubuntu Gnome.
