I've just finished building a new PC. I have no Linux experience.
MB: Biostar K8M800 Micro AM2
CPU: AMD Athlon X2, 2.0 GHz
RAM: 2 GB
HDD: 80 GB
External HDD: 250 GB
Optical Drive: DVD-R/W
I have downloaded Intrepid Ibex and burned the ISO file to a CD. I also have purchased a new OEM copy of Windows XP Home. My plan is to load Ubuntu, insert the MB drivers and utilities CD and proceed to set the system up. After that, I want to install Windows. Since, after 17 years of experience with numerous version of Windows, I consider Windows to be too unreliable and and too infection-prone to run in the real hardware, I want to install it so as to run it only in a VM .
Does Ubuntu include a hypervisor, or will I have to use third party software?
I would greatly appreciate advice and specific directions for accomplishing my objectives.
