Whenever I plug in my USB speakers, they play the login sound incredibly loudly.
Also, I rarely turn my computer off, I just put it in suspend mode. When I wake it up from suspend it plays the sound, but only when I have my USB speakers plugged in. I disabled the login sound in system > preferences > sound, but it still plays. I set the volume to 0, but it still plays.
I've been told I need to turn it off through the login window preferences, but I can't find anything in there that lets me deal with sounds.
I want to completely turn this sound off so that it never plays again regardless of whether or not my speakers are plugged in, or if I decide to plug them in, or for any other reason. It will not let me delete login.wav from usr > share > sounds.
What do I need to do to stop this sound from playing?
