No problem with cedega. Which version of cedega do you use ?
All you have to do is install the game and play.

Could you explain what errors you got, and give us the log ?
By the way the best place for cedega problems is : http://transgaming.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=cb39efa5f8095f568e16f81524356d3f

it says that it cant start the /programfiles......steam.exe. or it will say
Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 7DA88227:
Attempt to read from virtual address 0 without appropriate acess rights.
the first problem was when i ran it with cedega
the second problem was when i just double clicked it and it ran with crossover automatically.

You need to run cedega as root to install a game, it should be the problem here.

Not necessarily. I installed Steam as a regular user with no problems.
