Thanks for posting a link to this game... I've been looking around for a MMORPG that runs on Linux and won't suck money out of me every month, and somehow I haven't heard of this one until now. The screenshots look very nice, and I'm hoping the gameplay is good as well. How many hours has it taken for you to get to level 99 with your character? How many hours do you play per day/week, and are there many other people playing on your server?
EDIT: I mistakenly assumed that since this topic was posted in the Ubuntu gaming forum this game had a Linux version. I haven't found any information yet on this game running in Linux, so if you have it up and running could you let us know what you are using (version of Wine/Cedega, etc.)?
Also, while looking through a list of free MMORPGS I came across Eternal Lands (http://www.eternal-lands.com), which I've heard about but haven't yet installed. This game does have a Linux client, so is anyone here playing this game?

Does it have a native Linux installer or are you running it through Wine or Cedega?
More details please.

Prudentissimus did you ever get it working with wine?
If so could you tell me how? :p
I've been trying to get it to work but I always get that directX 8 error,
with the auto updater thing.
Slightly Offtopic: Check out http://www.mmorpg.com/ they have a list of free mmorpg's in the forums.

It took me about 3 months to get to lvl 75
then about 3 months to get to lvl 90
then about 3 months to get to lvl 99
At lvl 99, I train AFK in Training Grounds. and I goto bed.
It is a very fun game (it is free knowingly); although It needs a lot more interactions...
My server has about 2000 players ( very friendly people, no BRs, no PKs )
If you need help, msg me in game - Prudens.

Aye. It's Linux game forum.
It's another story, if there's a linux client....or....getting it working with wine, cedega <insert an emulator>.

So you posted the information here but you don't have it running in Linux? The game looks like it could be good, but this is a Linux forum.

Not to be nasty or anything....but whats the point of this thread?
This should be deleted. At least thats what i think.
After all if it's a windows game, then there is little point of this thread.
Not to mention the fact that it needs directX 8.1 and thusly reducing the chances of it running in linux quite greatly. No?

Hahaha, I think it's funny that their FAQ page is just that. A list of questions. Most of the time an FAQ is supposed to be "ANSWERS to frequently asked questions."
The question I wanted answered was the price policy so I could post it on here and save someone the time of attempting to decipher their .com website.
But here's all I can figure out, its free but you can buy credits to upgrade your equipment.
And check out their 'player photos' section. Their hired some pretty attractive girls haha!
NOTE TO CONQUERONLINE: I WOULD HAVE TRIED THIS GAME IF IT WERE FOR LINUX! Too bad its not :-|

The game is likely free to play, but you have the option of purchasing "gold", or whatever $ system they use, with real-world cash. So you can buy that level eight +5 sword of ice for twenty bucks or whatever.
My understanding of the situation is this is the new business model for MMORPGs in Asia these days. ConquerOnline is likely a Chinese game.

You can make it run in Linux.
On the contrary, no, you can't.
At least natively.
And people have been reporting no luck from wine/cedega.
If you can make it run in Linux, please enlighten us.
