I just installed Ubuntu via Wubi last night and Linux worked just fine.
However, when I try to log into Linux today, I receive the following message:
[0.808113] Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
After that, my computer freezes and, for some odd reason, the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock lights on my keyboard flash repeatedly, completely rendering my keyboard useless. The only thing I can do is force the computer to shut down by turning off the power strip, and then logging onto Windows XP.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem and prevent it from occurring in the future?
EDIT: Oops! Wrong forum. Can a mod please move this to the Wubi board?
