HP Color Laserjet 1600

Hi everyone
I'm trying to setup a HP Color Laserjet 1600 printer to print with my system.
I have Ubuntu 8.10 with all he updates. The printer is attached to a Netgear PS121 Usb printer server.
Although i can ping the server and see it on the browser i'm not able to print. Tried different configurations (LPD, IP, JetDirect) and i get different messages every time.
The funny thing is that under 8.04 i was printing OK but naturally i forgot how it was set upped.
Anyone has any ideas?

how did you try to set it up on 8.10? Basically go to the printer menu in the administration part, select to add a new network printer and that should do it.

That is the craziest thing I ever heard of, it has been my experiance that those drivers don't work. Sounds like both of you never heard of the HP printer Linux driver which works 100% of the time.
