Hello everyone,

Is there anyone who would be able to help me out to fully understand Linux and Ubuntu? I just do not seem to get it. I have a wonderful Dell system, but understanding line commands and everything I need to know to fully utilize this system such as:

-Using it as my secondary DNS
-Using it as my secondary file server
-From my windows pc's I cannot see my ubuntu machine to use it as a file server
(I'm not running the ubuntu server, just the desktop version. I guess I just want it to be my quasi server for files, DNS, running apache for Intranet web pages)

I wish I could find a tutor. Can anyone help? Thank you all for your kindness and professionalism. -aw
