Anyone else getting PMs from miriam_gri offering that we pay for some of their team to join in the discussions here to interact with our members and ""hence stimulating discussions and enhancing interest on your or your client's boards"

Bwahahaha! Like we need to pay people to post here.

Edit: Can we have an "ignore user" option, just below the "add user to buddy list" please?

Yep I got spammed too [-X

I know I need to hire some experienced posters for my board, what about you? :-k

I figured I might offer to join the team and get paid to write this crap... ;-)

People with a genuine interest in this forum (note the spammer doesn't actually mention the topic) will be here already. If it's a slow forum, about some obscure thing like dinosaur taxidermy, people posting just because they have to probably won't know much about it anyway.
Notice the 'thread starting' offer? They don't even need to know about the topic. I'll bet they just copy posts from busier forums.

I also got spammed.

I've disabled PM's for now to stop the spam.

I was going to start a topic about it but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate.

Edit: A spam filter for the PM system would be nice. :-)

You've disabled PM's. How much spam did you get. I only got one. (Not that there's a minimun of acceptable spam.)

We are aware of the situation, thanks!

Please forward any spam messages you've received from this user to me for investigation purposes

I only got one as well but I strongly dislike spam :-P
I guess I could turn them back on and just add the user to
my ignored list. 8-)

the user has magically vanished from the forum database.... I'm not aware of any administrator who deleted the account...

Hopefully the problem stops now?

:p xmastree made a typo the users name is accually: miriam_griHopefully that's fixed now...

Edit: It seems not, the thread still has my incorrect title. Maybe an admin could correct it?

And speaking of typos... :p

At least the guy spammed with an actual e-mail adress in the spam (bet he'll never do that again).

I'm going to help this person find better things to do in life by signing him up to various lists.

THAT's how nice of a guy i am, he spams me and i help him out in life.

It's available, but you have to go to the user's profile to find it.
I too would like to see this option on the drop-down menu.

I forwarded my PM from this guy minutes after I got it, it was only my second PM ever here. Man I may be lonley in the PM dept, but I'll stay that way instead of getting messages like that :)

Though I have to admit I found the whole concept of his services quite funny :)
