Is there any way to get the enlightenment environment for a G4 power pc?

Are you looking for e16 or e17? If there are pre-built packages you should be able to build your own. Here's a link that talks about building/compiling e17 for Ubuntu:

There should be no major issues installing e17 from source (svn) onto Ubuntu running on a PPC.
Here's a How-To for Debian, but it is the same process for Ubuntu:
PowerPC and Debian GNU/Linux and OzOs, OH My (http://cafelinux.org/OzOs/content/powerpc-and-debian-gnulinux-and-ozos-oh-my)
and there was a discussion about this on the OzOS forums - HERE (http://cafelinux.org/forum/index.php/topic,2335.msg8120.html)
You could post any further questions there for a more expert response.

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize that enlightenment was so tough to get on a mac.
