Alright I shrank my ext4 partition for ubuntu 9.04 beta and my drive looks like the pic attached. I shrank it using the live cd's install wizard, not Gparted. GParted can only expand the extended partition. Can I fix this or is it possible to just copy the files over from one partition to another?

I am still amazed you got that to work? I thought it could not be shrunk.

hmm so here's a question....

Can I just transfer ubuntu 9.04 to another partition, or should I just nuke it and reinstall 9.04

...or could I install another os, thus resolving what distro is associated with the swap partition?

It would help if you explained what it is you are trying to fix ????

Don't know what you wanna do, but either wait for GParted 0.4.2 to hit the repos or compile it yourself (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/index.php).

I'm trying to organize my disk so i can load multiple distros on it. I ended up choosing to reinstall ubuntu 9.04.
