View Full Version : difference in quality of Jaunty vs. Hardy & Intrepid

Not that I am complaining, but it seems to me that the beta releases of Jaunty have been much less problem prone than it's 2 predecessors, i.e. Hardy and Intrepid, even though Jaunty is in the fairly early beta stages.

Why the difference in the apparent quality of Jaunty at this early stage when compared to Hardy and Intrepid ?

Is this due to some type of personnel changes in the parties that are doing the development of Ubuntu or have the developers of Ubuntu just invented a better model/method of enhancing Ubuntu which is keeping problems on the beta release to a minimum ?

I've noticed this as well. Jaunty doesn't even seem like it's only in the alpha stage.

So far, for me..jaunty has been rather stable and also has had quite good performance.

This is a good sign
