UBUNTUFORUMS slowed to a crawl [Archive]

Yesterday around 22hours onwards GMT-1 time, the forums have slowed to a crawl. For a single page to load I'd to wait 2min

What was the reason?

someone was attacking port 80 which caused apache to go bonkers..
