dear everybody
does anyone know of any cool passive information screen savers available? it doesn't really matter what, but something other than the standard 'rotating object'.
i figure everyone likes music visualizations because it's cool graphics AND follows the beat. i also have a cool time screensaver (polarclock) (http://blog.pixelbreaker.com/polarclock/) on my mac at work.
but i figured linux would have evolved something like this a long time ago: some visuals based off network traffic, for example, or cpu/memory load. maybe even information fed off the net, eg, a unique cue for every hit from your mail, twitter, whatever.
anything?
cheers
