Will it run in Wine? Note that Im in Win XP SP3 atm so cant see, but I read sometimes yes sometimes no. I am happy with using command line and extra repo's to make it work, btw

Company of Heroes base is a good start, but will OF or ToV work too?

Quick edit: I will be in Fedora 10, just so u know :)

Not since Wine went 1.0 and it didn't work all that great before then anyway:

Read that page, thank you though. Anyone else?

Considering that page is from WineHQ's own Application Database, which is generally the definitive answer on what will and will not run in Wine, that should have answered the question.

I'm running Karmic 64 and Wine 1.1.31 and I can play company of Heroes under Steam.
I installed Wine using Synaptic. Then installed Steam straight from their site. When I tried to get Company of Heroes to download it would crash.
Then I installed the NVIDIA restricted driver. Shouldn't be related but then I was able to launch Steam and install and play company of heroes.

The mouse is a little off, like you have to click below the button you want or click below the unit you want but it works, sound and all. I played a skirmish against the computer so far. Going to tweak the display settings because Ubuntu tool bars stay on top of he game and you can't see the top menu in the game.

I set Visual effects to none and game play is great. Full screen, awesome.
