Hi,

I'm using fresh Kubuntu 9.04 Alpha 4, x86_64. Since it's alpha I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but lets try :)

I've installed the official nvidia 180 drivers via the Hadrware Drivers tool. The problem is that the refresh rate can be either 50 or 51Hz, which strains the eye fast. I'm using LG FLATRON L222WS which works at 1680x1050.

How to increase my refresh rate to 60Hz?

Thanks in advance

Noone? Is there no place where I can specify my monitor's capabilities?

Just to let you know, I updated all packages and nvidia drivers bumped to 180.29, but I'm still stuck with 50Hz refresh.

Hi,
Where are you getting the refresh figures from? Since you are using nVidia driver use "nvidia-settings" utility to query and not the Gnome applet.
On LCD panel monitors the refresh rate is not as critical as CRTs, most use a 60Hz rate.
