View Full Version : World of Warcraft WILL NOT install in Wine!

World of Warcraft WILL NOT install in wine..
I've followed a ton of forums and I just payed $30 for this game because I thought it worked with Wine. I can't take it back because the box is ripped open. When I try to open installer.exe under Wine, it gives me this! <image below>
PLEASE HELP!

Go to the Blizzard website and download the trial downloader. That should take care of ya nicely. Don't bother with the dvd/cd's. They are more work then they're worth. And while your at it, Read this. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WorldofWarcraft

What did you try? There was an entire page of debugging help as well as at least 3-4 different ways to install it. Also, I suspect that you didn't run the downloader and finished downloading the entire 2+ gig game in under 15 minutes... "Didn't work" Doesn't help me help you.

Being short with people won't get you far.
