View Full Version : [ubuntu] No sound after Ubuntu 8.04 reload

Reloaded Ubuntu 8.04 into my Dell Inspiron 530 and now I have no sound. I am booting computor with 2.6.24-22 kernel. Help

After trying sudo /sbin/alsa force-reload I find i have no sound drivers. also i did not mention I have no sound icon after the reload.

my sound card is recognized but the drivers are missing after the reload.

I've been having the same problem with my sound. I've been trying all the advice on similar posts with no luck.

Still have no sound on my Dell Inspiron. Sound card is recognized Intel 82801I ICH 9 Family. I have no drivers nor do I have a sound icon.
