can't com in Ubuntu

Hey i got this problem when i haved switch the hdd from the old computer to a dell GX50. The screen work perfekt from when i start the computer. The OS is Ubuntu cardy version i gess. Can I fix it?.
Then my other questen my dell optiplex GX 50 dosent boot CDs i have look on the bios and
changed Boot setting to boot first IDE CD driver but no effect.
