As a good starting place for Linux Wireless Support this site http://linux-wless.passys.nl/ has a more or less complete listing of all chipsets and devices that are supported in Linux. If people have a device that is supported in Ubuntu, it would be great to add it to this site as well. Then when a device we want to purchase is found on that list we can double check in this community forum to get a real picture of how it works in Ubuntu. Just a thought because I am now needing a good desktop wireless adaptor for Ubuntu and the search has been cumbersome.
