View Full Version : [other] Boot Freezing after removing Ubuntu

Hello. I've recently uninstalled Ubuntu from a Dell Inspiron 1501 (dual booted with Vista) for my sister (I have done this many times) however this time it's not going so well. It keeps freezing on boot, even with the recovery disc for Vista. I did delete the recovery partition (there's only so much room and I needed it). I"d appreciate it if someone can tell me how I can restore Vista without deleting files if possible. And I'll be glad to give more information to help.

Alright Let Try these steps.
First.
Boot into vista recovery disk then select command propt.
Do all thats needed to open command propt.
Next Type fixmbr in command propt.
If it ask u Y/n type y then enter
Then type Fixboot i command propt.
If it ask u y/n type y then enter.
NOTE: their might be a warning thats might make u say no... DO IT ANY WAY IT WILL FIX UR PROBLEM IM 80% it will. AND 0% it will mess up your computer.
