Hi,

I have a .ts file, 1080i from United States satelite TV (I believe), its ~1.6 GB in size, and lasts around 23 minutes. I would like to know how to convert this so that I can burn it to DVD, so that I can watch it on a HD blu ray player device hooked up to a TV. I am using Ubuntu 8.10.

Any advice, pointers would be great.

TIA

I have seen some references that HandBrake can now do the conversion for you. You might want to check out thier site and maybe drop a question in thier supprt forums.
