The problem: My wireless router is set to WPA2. My DS supports only WEP.

The Solution (I'm gunning for anyway): My machine has two network interfaces. One is Eth, and the other is Wifi. I have a wireless device that can ssh into the machine and run commands, and also send "magic packets". I want to set up my machine so that I can wake it, then enable the wireless as an AP using WEP so I can connect to it with my DS, then, when I'm done, close it.

But right now, my first obstacle is the wake on lan (which I want to pull off whether or not the other parts of this plan works).

I tried to use this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=234588&highlight=wake+lan) walkthough, but my machine is still unresponsive. My NIC is integrated with my motherboard (Asus P5Q Pro) and I set it to allow PCI to invoke a wake event in the BIOS.

I'll bet that I'm missing something so obvious that I'm going to kick myself for it when it gets pointed out.
