I have a ubuntu server setup but what I want to do with it is in the case that I have to diagnose pc's, I want to have it sort of like a linux client. Maybe put a floppy into the client computer and then have it boot up linux using ssh that connects to the server? Is there a way to do that or something along that line?

You can ssh into your server from any client on any platform. Why the need for this?

You cold also just use the ubuntu LiveCD, or the LiveCD versions of many other linux distributions out there. This way you wouldn't have to connect to anything, really; just pop the CD in and you'll have linux running fine off of it.

All it would do is just be something quick to boot if the operating system died or had a virus. The live CD is good idea, the only thing I don't like about live CD's is how slow they are because of the CD-Rom.

AH HA! figured it out. DRBL allows for a remote linux session, sort of like citrix. Does anyone know how to set permissions for users in drbl? I'm able to login using my root password but I can't login using my own password.
