Well, I never had the install problems or black screen problems that other have posted about numerous times here. I searched for my problem but couldn't locate an answer. That's not to say that one isn't hidden here somewhere.

Basically, Enemy Territory runs fine for a while and then just disappears. When running from the terminal, here are the last several lines of output (below) including the signal 11 crash. I'm running an Nvidia GeForce FX5200 card and am using the drivers installed via synaptic which so many others are using.

Any ideas?

I used to get similar crashes. At least from memory... I haven't reproduced them in a while.

It was when I had my AMD 2800+ processor overclocked (2.2 ghz instead of 2.0 i think). Backing off to 1.8ghz (I do this because it keeps the fan quieter) stabilised it again.

Well, I'm running an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ but it's not overclocked.

Just like to say I have the same problem, and it annoys the hell out of me. I have an AMD that's not overclocked.
