Lg c1 touchscreen

i installed ubuntu 8.10. i can't use the touchscreen. i search in the forum and found some thread. i tried the instructions but i failed. Can anyone help me. i like ubuntu very much but i need the touchscreen so i still need windows. Please help me . Sorry for my english. Thank you
