View Full Version : [ubuntu] I didn't have wireless DNS after returning home

Today I was at a location away from home and checked to see whether there was a wireless router at the location. There wasn't one. When I returned home I couldn't establish a wireless connection. Eventually I restored the connection, but didn't have DNS. After more experimentation I had DNS. I can't say what I did to bring back the connections.

What caused the problem? Is there a sequence of commands that gets right to the point?

Probably a router problem. I reboot my wireless router whenever I have wifi or DNS problems. 90% of the time it fixes it. Otherwise it's an ISP problem.

Rebootinh the router was one of the things I did. I also rebooted the computer and stopped and restarted wireless networking. I'll try rebooting the router first and see whether that fixes it.

Thanks.
