Often when I click on the User CP link to see if there are new posts in the threads I've participated in or subscribed to, there seems to be but then I realize it also says that I'm the latest poster... :roll:

That also occurs in the forums themselves. Most of the time, it appears because someone posted in the time it took you to post, meaning that there is at least one unread post before yours. Sometimes, it's just plain wrong.

This seems to happen on a lot of vBulletin forums I use.

This happens to me a lot, mainly because I tend to post in very active cafe games (the BUMP Thread) If the new replies span over a page break, and you don't read them all, it WILL NOT mark that thread as read until you have viewed all the mew posts --or-- marked the entire forum as read.

Sometimes it's a cache issue, too. Try clearing it.
