I seen a tutorial for wireless sharing my ubuntu's network connection.

I got it to work once after being awake for 36hours fighting with ubuntu lol

Now it's not working for me again, I've followed the exact same procedure but nothing...

Why so hard :-(

Any tips or help?

Depending on the circumstances, you may have to rebuild the wireless drivers.

I have a cheap laptop that runs the ath5k driver using compat wireless and it forces me to rebuild and install the packages each time there is a kernel update. Give 'er a go and if that doesn't work, get a hammer :)

I presumed ndiswrapper was the problem.

Now removed nedis to find that it's left eth0 unmanaged "the device is unmanaged" and wlan0 has completely disappeared.

Hmmm how confusing wonder how I get wlan0 back again.

Anyone know?
