I haven't checked out Ubuntu Studio yet, but I didn't see this program listed in the documentation. It's a program called Celtx:

http://celtx.com/

I highly recommend it for anyone doing any kind of film production work. It'd be an awesome program to be included in the next version of Ubuntu Studio too! It's not just a screen writing tool, it organizes your whole film, radio drama, theatre or other production. It has:

-A production schedule
-Media management for all movies and clips
-Contact info and cast and crew
-Web services including launching your project for the public or privately to only those whom you allow (i.e. cast and crew)

and soo much more. I've been in film production since 2004 or so and I live by this program.

Take a look! Maybe you will too!

This was packaged in Debian a while back, but it's based on much of the mozilla codebase but modified, so for it to not conflict is difficult at the best of times.

According to Andrew Hunter (one of the UbuntuStudio devs) who attempted to package it a while ago, a fork of Celtx would be needed before any package is accepted into the repos. He did mention that a deb could be easily built that wasn't up to official standards, then hosted in a PPA somewhere...

Very nice program though!
