upgrade to 8.10 on studio 15, advice?

I have a Dell Studio 15 that came pre installed with ubuntu 8.04 and I am so far very happy with it. I am curious though if it is worth upgrading to 8.10. Google has showed me that the only common problem so far with 8.10 on a studio is with the headphone jack but it seems fixable. Do you think that it is worth upgrading or should I wait for the next long term support release?

The particular issue with the headphone jack should be resolved in the latest kernels on 8.10. The nice thing about having a factory installed system, if you aren't happy with the 8.10 upgrade results, you can always just restore from your recovery partition to the 8.04 install...
