Is there a plugin for firefox which allows to limit the bandwidth of downloads so that I can browse while downloading? This seems like a very basic requirement to me but I can't find any good solution..

Maybe there are external download managers that could do this but they don't play well with extensions like DownloadHelper for downloading YouTube videos..

There's one addon but it's experimental. (and the developers site says it's Windows only)

Any help pls?

Even a simple proxy which lets me change bandwidth will help.

Just found "trickle", but it wont let u dynamically change the bandwidth. :(
