I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 intrepid AMD64 version, and I'm relatively new to Linux so please be patient.
My sound card appears to be detected and identified as CAO106
I've disabled my onboard sound in the BIOS, to prevent the computer from choosing it.
I've also installed a monitor that has an headphone plug (Through a DVI plug), is that causing some sort of conflict?
It seems nothing is wrong, but obviously there is if there's no sound coming out.
PS: Yes the speakers are connected.
